No dis respect intended, however I found my ability to find work was more important to my Family than the location of our home. I would rather not live in a place that standard things are snow boots & an Ice scraper, but you do what you have to. My ICE comes in bags now, & I call the sat. company if I see snow. I did cook some steaks in the Packard Building. Wish I could have seen it back then. Left my Wife in a Hotel room for the night. My Glock kept me warm. I won't do the race thing. TCB.
Hiring areas never include me

Detroit is dead. Time to face reality and move. The lack of sacrifice is the reason people never get ahead. I am sure your family will be happy anywhere they relocate to since they already live in the worst US city. Sorry but I speak the honest truth.

I don't believe that finding a driving job in your city is that hard. When someone tells me the same as you have I just stop and think that this new driver is just sitting there on the computer waiting for something to drop into their lap. What you have said that there is no trucking done in or around Detroit so there's no jobs?? You need to get out and find the companies. Don't fall into the Mega Grinding Machine. That's where all these new drivers work for nothing and will have to do everything the company says. Then when that gets old and they quit it opens another seat and the cycle starts all over again.
