Hiring OTR drivers. Must have at least 2 years of OTR experience, and a good driving record. We have all 2007 and newer equipment, equipped with APU’s, pre pass, ez pass, Qualcomm w/ navigation and e-logs. Run all 48 with no force dispatch to NY City. Our orientation is only 2 days and you’re out trucking by the end of the 2nd day. Give me a call if you have any more questions.

I heard a rumor that Butler only pays its drivers $0.23 a mile. Is that true?

As for Maine, I am sorry but we do not hire out of there.

To the .23 cents a mile, no we start at .32 cents a mile with a .02 cent per mile safety and performance bonus.

Sounds good. Is the $0.32 cpm with a per diem or straight pay?

According to your website you have a base of $0.23 cpm and a $0.09 cpm per diem. 23+09=32

Your post seems deceptive. How can you say you pay $0.32 cpm when $0.09 is a per diem and not an income?

I could be wrong, maybe you can explain it to us. It seems like with a $0.09 cpm per diem your taking money from my back pocket and putting it in my front pocket.

I am going to try and answer all the questions with on post.

    K-Tag

We do not have the k tad in the truck, but do reimburse for all tolls that do not use the pre pass and ez pass,

    Per Diem

The .32 is broke down as .23 regular pay, and .09 is per diem. In speaking with a lot of different drivers, they are not 100% sure on how it works, and think that we are taking money away from them. Most of it comes from the daily per diem that a driver is allowed to claim which i think is $36 the last i checked. This is not true. At the end of the year, if the .09 per mile per diem does not ad up to what you get to claim, you can claim the difference and get that back. There are also other benefits to the per diem structure that if you would like you can call me and i will explain.
