You realize at the rates youre quoting they don't pay very well right? Look at what your posting your checks are, and look at what you posted your fuel cost is. I'm making more than that running less miles and I pay over double what you're paying for fuel.

Now then just for easy math let's figure 3 trips at 1000 miles figure they give you .30 for FSC and if you're not getting FSC as a lease driver that right there should tell you to turn the truck in. Anyway that's 3300 gross. 3300 for gross figure 3000 miles at 6 mpg with singles and what not should work I would think. That's 500 gallons of fuel purchased on a week. At .99 a gallon you should EASILY be clearing 2500/week before deductions. Something just don't seem right. Take 300 a week for a trk payment and you're down to 2200. Just what the hell else are they taking from your checks insurance through them shouldn't be that much with the fleet size they have. I had unlimited at a company I leased to with 85 power units and only paid 345 a month with rider insurance.

    Something seems fishy...really fishy

I'm saying average take home of 1400 per week. That's with fuel paid Trust me...I'd love to make more! And I know I'm not setting any records here, but I'm happy. I could be happy because I just don't know any better. I've only been driving 17 months. Was behind a truck earlier today (DCL). They say they pay company drivers .50 per mile. Sounds great. But once again I'm happy. Truck payments are 647 per week. Then there is insurance, maintainence acct, comdata, pre-pass. I'm sure the longer I'm around the more I'll learn and I may move on to greener pastures

I knew hirshbach was bad from running their shag but I didn't realize they were that bad. That's outragous in a sense they're doing you some good with your escrow account putting money back AS LONG AS you get the money back and it's only used for your trk.

I have never leased a trk so I don't know. But I can tell you my trk payments are a little over 1000 a month and it'll be paid for in 2 years. I've paid the high insurance rates still do (I'm young and insurance doesn't care about 3 years exp when you're young) but it #### near sounds like they're taking my premiums out for a company that's got more power units than I could dream of. Average is average I understand that and it's good you're happy but I don't agree with companies screwing people around happen lot but it's like renting a house I suppose. At 650 a week paying for a truck you can buy an $80,000 trk. Or you can buy a trk and trlr. For 80k. Over 5 years. That's about double what the loan is on the other tractor we own that we did a 5 year loan on.

There's something to be said for being able to choose where you can go which is great but for what they're taking and what is happening with taxes it's b.s. on hirshbach part. I would have thought your checks especially with what you pay for fuel would be well over 2000 if not more.

I've only had one check over 2k. And if I had better credit I'd just buy my own truck through a bank

The .99 per gallon for fuel is fuzzy math, if the averagericwer gallon for fuel is 2.76 and your truck is getting 7 mpg, your fuel surcharge is .25 CPM multiply that by 7 and you get $1.50 minus 2.76 and its $1.26, they have invented a way to make it seem like you areaying $1.00 per gallon for fuel but technically you are not

That .99/gal fuel only applies if you follow their routing and fuel stop solution...

I met two Hirschbach drivers last night, they tried to recruit me. The recruitment incentive is $1500/head. They told me that you do not choose your loads - it is straight dispatch. They told me the truck payment is $661/week with $58,000.00 due at the end of the lease (I had to dig for this info) and that mileage pay is $1.20. Yet they also told me they averaged $1700/week take home after all expenses and taxes.

I asked how many drivers they had recruited. Their answers were, one and three. I asked why such poor performance for such amazing income. They answered, "because of overly analytical people like you". ...hmmm ...

I started this thread being interested in getting info I finally got a recrt. from Hirschbach to give me a copy of the lease break down I know am positive that this company along with alot of others are taking uneducated drivers for a ride. You pay 661 or up to $850 for between a 2015 -2016 plus fuel your pre planed so you can not pick freight also means your on there home time cant really pick it if your pre planned sounds more like a company driver then O.O and there is a $58,000 balloon on a 2015 & $6200 on a 2016 lol sounds like a great deal right lol not she said look on the bright side you can always get a new truck every 3 yrs lol What I said I want to start a business not be a Prime driver and never own a truck after making all those payments. But they do have about 4-5 real die hard drivers that really promote them on FB page saying they make crazy money they get 3200 mile on average lol OK hauling Ref. maybe once a month maybe twice they show off there new truck that isn't a lease issue one form Hirschbach they are also a team not solo so money rolls 24 /7 the other 3 are 1 guy takes his wife stays out 5-6 wks at a time and other two are single stay out 4 wks if thats your thing great my self witch i consider being more average on what i do is stay out about 2.5 then head to the house with wife and 2 kids and normal bills would never be able to make that balloon payment Im sure most could not either and when your on the road and ask drivers they say they are averaging $775 to $900 wk being out 3wks and having owner operator responcebilities I'm all set.
