Honestly, I kind of like when these rookies enter into mega carrier lease purchase programs.

The more drivers go under, less incompetent drivers on the road.

I mean, look at the guy whos been posting about his time with roehl as a lease. He's barely scratching 150k a year gross, and had to refinance his truck into another lease program with roehl in order to stay afloat.

4 years in and your base model economy spec truck still isn't paid off? Yikes.

I wasn't even aware of this. This guy goes to great lengths to not "stoop" to the level of being a company driver.

Lol. You have already made up your mind to do the lease. So you come on here asking for other members thoughts on doing the lease, but you don't get the answers you wanted to hear so you argue every point.
In reality, you may do okay on it, but every company lease is structured to benefit the company.

An experienced driver an earn $100k a year.
If you looking lease you better look at the numbers and see you can earn wayyyy more than that.
To take on more risk and responsibility you have to make a lot more money.

All these $1 something a mile flease deals you are not. The math will never add up that way.
Fuel, Truck payment, insurance, maintenance, tow when you have break down, taxes, plates, tolls, can go on and on with costs.
Cheap rate per mile flease is never going to be worth it.

    Cobrawastaken Thanks this.

No, because it works for both of us. Pays off a property I can rtetire If I choose, at which point I would let them keep on keepin on. Its a handshake agreement made with his Dad, and it will stand as long as his family wants to keep working the land.
