Heard about those. I think there was a YouTube video a few months back. Some Canadian truck driver hit a moose head on in his Freightliner Coronado. The moose was obliterated but the truck only suffered minor damage to a headlight and a couple dings in the bumper. I'll have to look it up but the driver said it was worth every penny.NavigatorWife and darthanubis Thank this.

They are connected strait to the frame, Up here they are a life saver. Deer I can handle its the moose or elk that jump out in front that can flat out kill you, that's where it comes into play.NavigatorWife, Rock 'n Roll Relocater, darthanubis and 1 other person Thank this.

Those bumpers are not cheap but a hood aint cheap either gonna save up for a HERD bumper...NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Before I got that bumper one buck took out one side of the bumper, Headlight, grill and cracked the hood. All in all it cost 13k to repair the truck to insurance, We installed that to stop that from happening again as I run NWest non stop.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

We do tankers, so were always 78 to 79K. I'm told the company won't buy them do to the weight. The dude that is the terminal manager is a former driver that hit a friggin elk. Truck had to be towed.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

1100 pounds is what it added to my truck. But worth every pound.NavigatorWife and darthanubis Thank this.

It would hit the moose at the knees. The only thing that would not get damaged is probably the bumper.Last edited: Nov 26, 2015
