LOL..... that was a great one! Hey, you DO know they advise against picking up hitchhikeres, don't you? LOL. Least it was probably nice & well cooled down by the time you got to DC!

You know, folks probably thought you were just decorating for the holidays......Krampus style? LOL

Got me one couple weeks ago going through MO. Deer guard deer guard definately paid for itself on that one. Minor damage that would otherwise have been much more severe.

I've decided to hang up my shotgun during deer season. Seem to have much better luck w/the truck, so just gonna go with that from now on. :biggrin_25525:

I tell all my students, when it comes to deer.......it's all in the follow through! LOL

Keep it safe out there, bro
    &
    Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Edit: Just saw this was old thread, but made my day, nonetheless. Thanks!

I came into this one small town in Idaho about 15 years ago. It was snowing so I was going under the 25 mph speed limit. Out of this drive, a horse trotted out, and started going down the road right in front of me. It was trotting less than 10 feet in front of my 379, so I blew the horn. It turned, and I saw it wasn't a horse, it was a moose! It was about a foot higher than the hood. I slowed to a crawl, and it exited at the next drive way. If I had been going 5 my faster, my time as an o/o would have been over!

True story. Westbound out of Edmonton last night I spotted 2 deer crossing the highway in front of me. Hit the brakes and came to a complete stop just short of the 2 deer. Layed on the horn and both deer run for the center median. 1 deer made it without incident. The other one slipped on a patch of ice and patched out like bambi. Still laughing about that one.

We teach our drivers , if it has 4 legs hit the fuel, 2 legs hit the brakes.
