Oh I will, this is a small company only open mon-Fri 8-5... So they are closed today, I will tell them tomorrow morning I guess, I'm in New Jersey now, probably will go to terminal Wednesday after I deliver in St Louis...I hope they don't fire me, I'd hate to have to get myself and all this stuff in this truck home, that's what I'm worried about...I have a lot of stuff... Especially stuff I can't take on plane, train, or bus

    Numb Thanks this.

We HAD a driver come into the shop with damage like that. Said he hit a deer.... never seen a deer bleed SAFETY YELLOW...

Just tell them the truth. If you have a good record with them and over all you'll get a driver preventable.

Oh I wouldn't tell them anything but the truth, friends and a guy on here have said to clean the yellow paint off and say someone hit me and ran, I couldn't do that

truth is the way to go , dont lie. #### happens most companies understand if u have an otherwise clean record then there shouldnt be no problem.

I just died reading this....lmao!!!! Nonetheless OP, its not that big of a deal. Take you some pictures, and man up. Things happen. You will probably get charged for the damage, either outright or insurance deductible. I cant imagine you getting fired over something so minor. Just do better next time.

Should it come to that, buy some boxes, pack it all up and ship it back to yourself. (UPS or USPS)

Kind of wierd there is not an on call safety guy on weekends to report it to
    ...
Any company I have been with that is that size has such a person and a policy to report immediately waiting till Monday concerns me

What do they say it's not the crime but the perceived cover-up that gets most people in trouble

Tb0n3, MOBee, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this.
