    I got hit by a truck and trailer, I did get license plate number on trailer but not the dot # looked like a owner operator truck will I be able to find the company just by the license plate number on trailer??

    Did you call the police? Hit and run is a criminal offense. Let them find out who the trailer is registered to. You may be better off letting your insurance deal with it if the damage is substantial.

    Yes I called police got report little damage so I dont whether to pursue or how.

    If it is your truck and there is little damage than probably better to not involve your insurance company. If the police report doesn't contain the offending company's contact info, you should try calling that police dept and see if they have since run the license numbers and now know the registered owner. Then maybe small claims court, though you may just have to write this one off.
