Hitting a wide open dock...

    Yes nice when there there waiting for you with the door open, but did you ever haul a container, open the door and it throws you back 15 ft. over seas cont. the load shifted and was leaning against the back doors. Those blue tarps from menards, come flying out right on top of ya. I learned my lesson long time ago, lift the handles and run back as fast as you can, and see if anything flys out after. the guys on the dock, should we call an ambulance?

    I ain’t no reefer or dry van driver. I do tanker. Only 6 months experience.
    Every once in a while they ask me to do a dry van load. I’ve backed up to maybe 6 docks.
    Backing I do. Mostly into driveways. Have reference points.
    One day I had a dry van to a dock. Around a corner and wide open. 100 feet to the docks from the corner. I had no idea what I was doing. No reference points to work with. When I finally got it to the dock. I walked inside. The guy said: 938 CDL Backing Test Points. :D
