Hobbies While Over The Road

We had some sweet courses set up back in the day. The woods in front of my house has a deep ravine steep as hell on both sides. Epic spot to play

 

I used to play guitar, got fair to middling at it. Love blues and jazz chords. Something with some twang to it. Still listen to the Delta blues a lot, but life kinda got busy with dogs and working on the house. Guitar will be there when I need her. Been a minute, though.

I grow carnivorous plants. Make a spot of money selling them. Nothing extravagant.

The last 8 months, I've poured myself into learning Linux. I run Arch Linux, which is a type of Linux where you build everything and the computer only does and has what you specifically tell it to do and have. My brain is smoking, which I love.

I'm weird. I jump around trying to learn stuff. Keeps me busy tinkering.

Oh, the story I could weave about mounting my USB C backup enclosure via a UUID that was rather difficult to get because the blkid process wasn't showing the drives as hard drives but USB devices...and then entering them by a weird alternative method into the fstab so they'd automount on boot...but I think most of you would look at me like I'm an alien. Lmfao

 

I read self-improvement books. It’s easier than self-improving.

 

Ha ha! Seems like it never gets done. Recently found a page long list, was actually surprised to see most of it has been done.

 

I like to look for Classic cars for sale. Occasionally I’ll find a great deal. Then I calculate the added costs to get it home. Make more money hauling a Load. Some day I’ll find the right one.

 

I do similar with staying fit. I watch fitness videos while in my recliner drinking booze and absinthe spiked with opium.

 

There was a driver that used to be in the flatbed forum that used to post these incredible pics. I liked his pics so much that I started looking for opportunities myself.

 

Example. This was a pic of another driver. I liked the pic, saved it and edited and jacked around with the filters for dramatic effect.

 

On a sober note, these are usually the pics I take.

 

Yes and we keep telling you to stop setting other people's equipment on fire. LOL
