Hobby Lobby get's it's hand slapped

Nice knowin' ya Hobby Lobby, I doubt they could survive a long term shutdown and without paying employees they're just going to go look for other work.

 

This has just gone too far.
Never been to a Hobby Lobby, probably will never go.
But please explain how 80 people can go to Walmart and it's ok, but if those same 80 people go to the Hobby Lobby next door, we're all gonna die?
This is total bs.
Think of all of the people we see every day, and that's ok, yet MILLIONS sit at home with no pay check because it's not ok.

i couldn't be any happier. my wife and daughters had been in the one near us, and as a cop would say at the scene of a murder,..
"keep moving folks, nothing to see here"...plus thier personal stance on some issues, regarding the health plan and women, made my wife and daughters stay away..

so no big loss, like the employee asking the manager (in the article) about being told not to pay them according to the guy upstairs.

it has to do with what the capacity is of any given store.

like here, one chain of supermarkets has a capacity of 1200 people. but during this time, only 20 percent are allowed inside, or 240 people..(including staff)

Hobby Lobby may of course, have a much smaller capacity of people, which for instance, maybe 60 is all the can have inside, and that would be (at 20 %)

12 people in the store at a time, including workers. so what..maybe 6 customers????

and this formula, was told to me by the pharmacy manager at that very chain of supermarkets as this is what the Fire Marshal had told the company, regarding people capacity

 

Whatever, man. Its gone too far.

To promote health, safety and consistency for our associates and customers in this environment, we’re taking some further steps for our U.S. stores:

Regulating Store Entry

“Starting Saturday, we will limit the number of customers who can be in a store at once. Stores will now allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20 percent of a store’s capacity.

“To manage this restriction, the associates at a store will mark a queue at a single-entry door (in most cases the Grocery entrance) and direct arriving customers there, where they will be admitted one-by-one and counted. Associates and signage will remind customers of the importance of social distancing while they’re waiting to enter a store – especially before it opens in the morning.

“Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a “1-out-1-in” basis.”

i agree, but it is what it is, and people are still gathering closely together.

sooner or later, the country may be shut down, all cuz fools cannot stay far apart.

Bank on seeing fights and whatnot in Walmart parking lots next week.

 

Some Costco locations have already implemented rules that limit the numbers of shoppers inside the store at the same time. For example, the Costco in Eden Prairie wasn't allowing more than 150 customers in the warehouse at any point last weekend.
