What I just saw on the Weather Channel is mostly from here to Wichita to KC, mostly just north of I-44, but being that close to it I would say I-40 would be a good bet, I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Later.

Trying to bring this thread back to life.... bear135 you need to come on over. Me and my codriver started here at HL last week, 01/24 and we already love it. HL drvr and his codriver have been very helpful in giving us tips and pointers in the inner workings. I realize we are in what you might call the honeymoon stage of being a new job but I'm here to tell you there really is something different here.
I'm sure as with any job if you look long enough you could find something to complain about. But I'm going to go out on a very long limb and say something that might sound crazy for just starting at a new job.... something I have never said about anyplace else I have ever drove for in the last 26 years...and there have been many. Are you ready? Wait for it.... I am never leaving this place. There really is something different here. As korny as it may sound you can just feel it. everyone that I have come in contact with, talked to, or interacted with has a very positive attitude. COME ON!!! see for yourself .
Special thanks to Kevin and JasonCrusader66 Thanks this. -
@#1don how's those container runs to Dallas treating you? Haha
I'm just glad I haven't had to do those in a while!Crusader66 Thanks this. -
HL Drvr and Crusader66 Thank this.

@#1don ....both the Ohio, and FL runs are nice ones. That TX run should've been given to Swift though...lol.
No, I don't go to Heath...I go more up around Cleveland...deliver there on Monday.
There isn't much waiting around here. At least you always know what you're gonna be doing. Surprised he pre-planned you this early in the week, though.Crusader66 Thanks this. -
That's gotta be about 10-11k miles in first 2 weeks, or so?
Gotta be pretty close to it.Crusader66 Thanks this. -

How are the tractors specced out ?. I know they have a mix of Freightliners and Volvos, at least thats what I've seen. Autoshifts, sticks, or a mix ?. Horsepower ?. Refridgerators ?. Just curious, Thanks
Crusader66 Thanks this. -
Yeah, we have just a few Freightliners...mostly Volvos.
I'm not too sure about the HL, but they are autos hints. And, they have fridges. We don't need APU's bc we don't ever shut our trucks off....not even if a shipper requires it.
They are nice trucks, big, and lots of room...or at least I think so.Thunder04280, #1don and Crusader66 Thank this. -
Kevin quit telling lies... we have single screw cabovers and codriver has to sleep on the dog house. 8 speed manual transmissions.... no a/c fan behind block of ice. No CB allowed we have to use hand signals.
Milr72, bigred81, Thunder04280 and 3 others Thank this.
