Just throwing this out there: Have you checked with Climate Express, there in Washington? I'd think them being in your hometown would be convenient. You, also, have Callaway Carriers close.

You mean a Dollar General DC in Fulton. Hogan has a dedicated account with them. And you dont seem to know much about Hogan at all, I have been with them for almost a year up until a few days ago because of equipment reliability and shortage of trucks in the fleet and they do not have a single freightliner in their fleet, Unless they are owner opps. They are an ALL International Fleet. I will admit that most of the drivers are stuck up and that is something ive never understood. Their trucks are governed at 62 mph and are auto shifts. The internationals are 2006-2008 9400i's and 2010-2011 Prostars....(Very Few of these). I have been on their HTI (OTR/Regional) division and the Dollar General acct. The DG acct is ALL driver unload but the pay is excellent if you can get a truck. They are going down hill as a company in my opinion because they have been bringing in new trucks but not very many and are selling the older trucks faster than they bring the new ones in so they are having a shortage of trucks. That is why i left and have to go with another company. I sat at home for 3 weeks waiting on a truck, calling everyday to see if they had one available. I think Hogan is a great company that had the capability of treating their drivers well and cared but they seem to be losing grip on things and therefore are pushing their drivers harder than ever (those that do have a truck) and its just not good. I normally wouldve suggested them to anyone I know and as a matter of fact got 2 good friends of mine on with them in which are still there and doing fine but dont know how much longer they will put up with their crap but unfortunately due to those circumstances I wouldnt recommend them to anyone right now.

    Thanks,
    BULLDOG

PS... Didnt mean any offense but I knew the straight up facts.
And if anyone has any questions for me about Hogan, just ask.

Thanks for the info. Gotta admit, I like the sound of the flatbed account. I live around Springfield, MO.

Yeah, I don't know how true it is, but I heard that Hogan's owner has something to do with International (not sure what), and that's why they have an all International truck fleet.

The recruiter is telling me that they have DG trucks available right now. I hope she isn't just yankin' my chain cause I'll be leaving for St. Louis, orientation, Sunday morning and I don't plan on putting up with any bs myself.

Well surprise, surprise. I called to get my bus ticket going this morning, and now I'm being told that there is no DG dedicated in my area, bummer. Guess that leaves me with regional at $.35.

Don’t mean to hijack the thread but the forum won’t let me send a private message until I have 7 posts. I do a lot of lurking around and reading on this forum but not much posting.

I’m in Springfield also. I’ve seen the employment advertisement for Hogan and wanted to get your opinion. They say they have regional routes available. Do you think this is true or are they just fishing for applications? Did you run out of there facility over on west Division and do they still have a small terminal in Lebanon? With the regional runs do they originate from St Louis and how long are you gone?

I’m currently working for a live haul operation out of Goodman (south of Joplin) and trying to find something different to do. On the outside Hogan looks like a pretty good company. I sold tires for TCI Tire Centers before getting my CDL and starting to drive. Hogan was one of my tire accounts. They always paid on time and were good to deal with from a supplier stand point.
I’d appreciate any info you all can provide.

    Thanks,
    dd

You know frieght should be picking back up in a couple more weeks. If you could tough it out a couple more weeks you would be alot better off. So next year when it gets slow you will have over a year of trucking experiance

I only went through Hogan's orientation (which was a week long), never actually worked for them. I was offered dedicated but once I quite my job that changed and I was taken on for regional. It ended up that I didn't care for what Hogan had to offer and I ended up going with Trailiner.
I believe the Hogan facility is just a small drop yard. I heard someone talking about the terminal in Lebanon so I suppose it is still there. I've only worked for one big outfit during my driving career and I don't plan on making Hogan the second.

I left my job in Mn. 2 weeks ago to go to hogan-worst mistake I ever made they had me in hotel for 11 days in St Louis before shipping me off to Columbus Oh. Once in Columbus more sitting in hotel then finally they had me go to terminal for what they call a evaluation run. Im all ready hired but they want to see how you do at delivering a load. It was only 21 miles and I thought everything went fine. Had to go back to hotel for more waiting because truck was not ready. Next day 13 days after starting I was called and said I was terminated because of not using 3 points exiting truck. I havent even actually drove for them but I will now have terminated on my DAC from them. STAY AWAY I HAVE NEVER WENT THROUGH SO MUCH BS IN ALL MY LIFE.
