This year there is nothing for solo drivers as far as I know, but I think team drivers split $1,000 or so if they ran through the holidays.

Last year they paid a bonus to solo drivers as well, but it was dependant on running a certain number of miles.
Being a slow time, I didn't get any bonus because I fell short of the target.

    Really?
    About any of that?

Today is 01/01, and you already had to make a fuss about it?
You knew today that you would not be getting paid more today, so you made a fuss about it and got double.
Why does that not seem true?!

If we get paid more for running on a holiday we would not have to ask our DM about it.
And it would not matter how many are running, and 'stuff'.

I'm on a dedicated account, if I sit for more than 24 hours I get paid. The way layover works with my company is you call it out ahead of time not wait until the next week to correct the situation. I sat 32 hours because amazon shuts down here so yeah, I made a fuss about layover pay when it would have been just as easy to go home and come back out for the pick up. Maybe I should have clarified but I don't get holiday pay for new years, I'm still out here ready to go, wasting life time, why shouldn't I get paid.

So are you saying Swift essentially does not have holiday pay?

For the most part, yes. No holiday pay for most drivers.

My last home time was in November before Thanksgiving, and the next will be the end of January.
My choice in that, so don't get the wrong idea.
But if I see extra pay for running through all of the holiday season I will truly be shocked.

I never worked for a mega. I stand corrected, then. I thought holiday pay was a given. I guess I was giving them too much credit.

We get 7 paid holidays a year plus 2 floating holidays to be used as we wish.

Well, that's like Life is fair.
    What goes around comes around.
    All that nonsense.

There are no givens. There is no fairness. There is no credit.
It is what it is, pure and simple.
To expect more is simply naive.

Life is not shades of grey, or even black and white with a cherry on top.
Life is simply a straight line, from there to here to there.

Granted, it is curved both ways. But all the same... it never ends being the same from the beginning.
    One Equation = One Life.

Now there are only two questions that you must find the answers to from my response.

    1. Where did all that come from, from that reply?
    2. Are you grown up enough, for Granny Goose?!.

I knew Swift didn't in my heart my hopes were to high. I keep expecting one day for them to show some concern and care for us drivers and they have a perfect record of not doing anything.

It is what it is? February 14 maybe GOD will have opened up a better company I can drive with if such a thing exist
