In my case I had just switched trucks from a 07' to a 08' the older a century the newer a cascadia I was loaded in NJ headed for the Midwest and my truck died on the PA. TPK. all I needed to do was regenerate the truck but I didn't know how and the shop foreman didn't know how at least he couldn't explain it.So his assisant called a wrecker and a bobtail to where I was at and instead of towing me to a shop in PA.I was towed to one in NJ which ran up a big bill and the blame for the bill fell on me.

hi. stay away from holland . if you care about your dac . D in saftey will flat out lie on your dac . i worked for holland 3 years and just got tired of there so called 1700 miles avg they tell you about turning out to be four 600 miles runs. and the snooty dispatchers and D just being a dumb ### like he is. I kept a clean mvr no tickets passed all dot road side inspecs. and made fuel bonuses and miles bonus and was late only 3 times on DLs in 3 years. once in Or dot had the road shut down last winter. once I had blood poison in my leg and stayed in the hospital for 11 days almost lost it. and once in Vermont the fog was so thick you could not see the fog lines. other then that perfect record I have my annual performance letter to prove it signed by D him self. saying i was a great driver and had a 99% on time delivery record. so before you koolaid drinking ### lickers of D try say i must have been a bad driver. i have proof i was a great driver and worked my butt off for that company. just got tired of short runs and snooty dispatch. i loaded my last load called dispatch told them i was quitting brought the truck back to the yard cleaned it out you could eat off of anything inside that truck. handed the keys and cards and paper work in person into dispatch like any man would do in person not sneak in and drop off or abandon the truck at a truck stop. but like any dumb ### like D would do he got pissed off I quit and like a puss lied on my dac trying to hurt me. didnt work D got a great job thanks

Can I ask what kind of shop problems? We (team) are going with them next week, We live around Fargo, so getting home is no problem. We don't plan to do anything that will fire us I hope.. After being with the company we are with right now, We are looking very forward to going with them. (Holland)

I think we are starting out with a 2009, which is great,, I know that truck well lol. Who is the "biker" shop foreman? (people seem to have a problem with?) what dispatcher doesn't get snippy? lol we all have bad days.. I just hope my husband gets in in time for orientation Monday. We have to go get him in Iowa, not sure when they will get him in. Thanks for replying!!

Well Like any other company the one we are with now is makin g it hard to make the transition. He is stuck in Kansas City for the weekend.. I swear they have a bug in the truck and listen to our conversations!! (Hopefully not being serious about that comment). But Holland is willing to work with us. and have even offered to pay his way home.. So We will be one day late for orientation but they will work with us,, I am liking this company already!!

I was scheduled to go with Holland until I spent too much time at home and decided to try to go local. I spent a lot of time researching them and even drove by their terminal when I was driving through Fargo once and met the staff.
I was really looking forward to going to work there but I got the home bug too bad over Christmas. The job I'm starting soon here, I'll be home a couple of times a week.
But Holland really looks like a top-notch company. I didn't meet the shop foreman, but from the looks of their equipment I can see why they might be a little more strict in that department. Though they do allow dogs with a deposit which is another good thing.
Good luck. -
Jim went with a company that pays 46C a mile but pays for absolutely nothing else. Holland pays alot less but pays for layover, detention, extra drops ect... I think we will be way ahead. Plus being close to home is a big plus!! No dogs for us.. I tried but he won't budge on that lol.
