I’ve hauled loads for them as an outside carrier. And the do suck to work/haul for .

They pulled some bs that we had to give them 6 hours at the consignee before we could charge demurrage.....

That really bites. If a driver wants to stay out on Christmas that's fine but otherwise you get your guys home.

MACK E-6 and Trucker61016 Thank this.

Dennixx, what kind of med. Ins.do you guys have? What is the pay structure like? What kind of training does one go through? How are drivers dispatched? With the cameras in the truck, do they do alot of micromanaging?

    Cameras yes..front and rear
Decent med..43 a week for 2 and 6K or 8K max out of pocket.Aetna, couple diff choices
Pay is hrly in town<75 miles=$29
    .59 p/m on road run
    Paid for everything
    Some barns more ,some less.
double time and a half holidays.
    30 day training..60 day probation
About 40 overnights a year, you keep hotel perks
Central dispatch via computer, log on see where your going, you can call a automated system about 24 hrs before your start to see what your doing.
Micromanaging? These folks have a floor at HQ devoted to spending 100 dollars to save 1.
Thay dont hassle us on the cameras too much unless your effin up.
Good gig if you can follow their rules and play the game.
Get out of the truck, caulk wheels..put air to the system better be belted..it becomes habit.
Been truckin 43 yrs and here 8, probably retire here if i can make it 5 more
Good gig for a young guy or gal since you'll be nights and w/e for thr first 10 yrs.

    Hope this helps.

BTW We just merged W Linde and that will be the co name and hiring process is at least 6 months

    scythe08 and kruz1980 Thank this.

Dennixx, I appreciate your help! Does the med.ins.start on your 1st day? What type of customers do you deliver to? I've never hauled cryogenics, could you give me some tips on those types of trailers? How PTO days do you get a yr.?

Brenntag can't find and retain drivers either. They've created a referral bonus and added quarterly safety bonuses in the last six months and it isn't any better. This is for local work with all the OT you could want in addition to a great 401k, great PTO and other benefits.

Most branches have one road driver and God forbid the guy quit. One branch had a road driver leave and the truck sat empty almost a year, corporate finally came and got it. That's .50 a mile to start, pay for every kind of nonsense you can think of, home every weekend, and guaranteed 3000 miles a week. Still can't find anybody.

Nobody wants to drive truck anymore, can't say I blame them.

Not sure on medical, may be after 1 month.
We have alot of customers that use the product probably never do the same run twice in a week.
May pull OX and NI and AR in same wk.
Hospitals, manufacturers, food service, military, refineries, nuke plants...
Trlrs are basically a thermos inside of a thermos, the liquid is very dense and heavy and not forgiving.

Just alot of piping and valves, not to difficult to learn.
1st yr is 2wks vac, plus 1 wk purchased plus 4 personal days so near 4 wks.
    OT after 10 hrs here.
Guys here are between 80 and 110K depends on if you want to work or not.
Never have to make a trip or delivery if you don't feel it's safe.
All equip and clothing is provided
I chose to work on the holidays since ill be home at the end of my shift and cant pass up the cabbage$$

    kruz1980 Thanks this.
