Dennixx, I have been reading driver reviews on Praxair on sites known as: INDEED, GLASS DOOR, etc. I've noticed a trend. I would say about 85% of them are negative. (Running you ragid every night, no communication, and following you around wherever you go.) Therfore, what's your opinion on this?

I've not had anyone following me around that I've noticed.
We (at my plant) are not reimbursed for cell phone use nor permitted to use one while driving so all communication goes thru the peoplenet system.
If it takes 2 hrs to get an answer from dispatch on a dumpout or route change so be it, that's 2 hrs of on duty pay.
We can only work 14 and drive 11 so it's on the company to be efficient but they never are.
You never are required to use your 2 hr exemption, that's for you to decide
I treat it as a job and not a lifestyle.
Poor planning on their part doesn't affect me anymore.
I just follow the rules and cover my arsePaddlewagon and kruz1980 Thank this. -
Do you see any real change in the way things are done at Praxair with the merge?
-
Nothing.
3rd quarter of next year till everything is complete.
If i was going to hire on I would want to start before that.
I've done alot of driving in 43 yrs, believe me it's a good gig, even if I'm going to mandan this afternoon and it's gonna be -25 ..ouchkruz1980 Thanks this. -

Follow the directives and make some dough, then go home and live life.
At the end of the day it's just a job but the salary afforded for doing this job allows for a comfotable lifestyle.
Good luck to ya.
