Well the company im looking at does concrete, rock, stone and all sorts of things
-
Well maybe you can get on and they might have enough work to keep you busy year round

It may be a blessing in disguise. So the work slows down as the weather gets foul... you didn't really want to drive in foul weather, anyway, right? And unemployment insurance may carry you through the slow period. It's not the money you'd make, working, but you're home with the family for the holidays, you have time to work on the 'honey-do' list, and at least you aren't completely broke. If you manage your finances well, the rest of the year, it could still work.

Not only that but there's alot of odd jobs. The head hr and the guys at local yard both told there havent been lay offs even in th winter for years. Sure the workload slows but not eentirely

Follow the Straight Trucks and 10,000 - vehicles. Lots of times that will lead to short, local routes that get their drivers home daily.

Sounds like a decent job where the employer has other irons in the fire to keep the crew and equipment working year round. No doubt some physical work, likely you would also get involved in maintenance and repair of equipment..who knows?
