Do you get full company benefits with the home run program?
With Schneider,do you get any choice at all on where you run or must you go into Mexico/NyCity?

OKIEJON, you get full benefits with the HR Program. The HR location I picked is east of the Rockies and that's all it said on their website.
okiejon Thanks this. -
Mexico? I never heard of any of us going there. That would have to be the first load ever that I'd try to get out of.

NYC. That's a bit different. Usually you get rid of the load just outside at the yard in, crap, I can't remember the name. Anyway, it's in NJ. If I remember the name I'll post it. Thankfully I was there but once. Nope, didn't care for the place. They usually have a day cab run it in.
And yes, you do get full bennys.
If you are east of the Mississippi, you can pretty much bet that's where you'll stay, although I had loads going to Omaha, and made it to DFW a few times. With me, they tried to keep me where I could snag a Canada load since I had zero problems doing that, and it was closer to home. I did a lot of Northeast, by that I don't mean just a handful of states. I mean the whole northeast, upper right quadrant, of the U.S.
Being in OK, you might find yourself on both ends of the U.S. It's hard to say for you.

Thanks for the replies.I have always ran the midwest and was curious about the northeast.
What about their spouse rider policy? How many days before it kicks in for experienced drivers?
Are you drivers seeing alot of drop/hook like they advertise?
Be safe out there. -
The vast majority of my loads were drop&hook. That was very nice. But even "most" of the live loads weren't that bad, unless you were at the worlds largest retailer.

I can't help with the rider policy, I just plain don't recall. Are you thinking of driving an orange truck?
okiejon Thanks this. -
Thinking pretty serious about it,yes. I am trying to decide between them and DOT Foods.I was going to go with DOT for sure until I heard you had to e with them 6 months before a spouse could ride.
-
I don't think it's that long for SNI. I'll stick my neck out and say it's from day one if you're experienced. Best bet would be to give them a call.
okiejon Thanks this. -
My Schneider 2010 Benefits brochure states that riders are permitted, but does not state how long the wait is before they can hop in. My Orientation starts in 9 hours and if I get the opportunity I'll find out for you.
okiejon Thanks this. -
Have a good one tomorrow PC.
-
I didn't get the Rider Program answer today, but I will try and remember better tomorrow. Very busy day as expected on the first day of any company's Orientation. There's the usual filling out of HR paperwork, going over policies, watching "Welcome" videos, etc. All in all it was a good day and I'm very impressed so far.
I'm going to start a blog about it tonight on this forum instead of starting a new thread. Just check my avatar and check my Blogs.
