That doesn’t work if people call you and need to talk to you

Actually you are right, I stand corrected..its .02 for.any driver under 21..woops, I have been out of it for a few years. Still though DUI can be argued in court for less than that amount if an accident is involved.farmboy73 Thanks this.

Notice my first word used with my comment to you was unfortunately. I think a driver should be left alone when they are on home time and/or vacation. I agree the testing is important, however I never liked that. Thankfully most carriers are not Nazis when it come to giving a driver some time. However the FMCSA rules state once that list comes down all the drivers tested has to be done by a certain amount of time. I used to know how long this time was, but I am in the midst of a serious brain fart and can't remember how long. -
I have never had a call in my life where 5 minutes matter. If I ever get in a situation where it does, I guess I'm simply screwed.

Since I don’t use drugs a random drug test won’t really affect me.
So if my employer wants to call me on my day off it doesn’t matter.
I refuse to hide behind my answering machine. -
No you don't have to. If you get a refusal, then they just violated the regulations and you can take legal action against the carrier for harassment.
I had safety at the company I leased to telling me I had to take a random when I was camping and 200 miles from the nearest clinic, I told the safety guy to go to hell if he thinks I'm going to get a piss test, it is an unreasonable request. No fall out, I went when I went back into service. -
The 382.305 Regulatory Guidance I posted in post #86 totally contradicts you! I choose to go by the regulations as they are interpreted BY the FMCSA!

I love all the posters here that think that a company actually seperates drug and alcohol randoms.
Everyone does both at the same time....
