When I worked with Conway Truckload (I started with them), you could bank your days and use whatever you had banked. If you had 6 days earned, you could take 6 days off. Where do you live?

I live only about 20 miles from I-40 I-85 corridor. Haven't seen Millis around but I'll do some checking on them. Thanks!

Raleigh/Durham off I-40. I know Conway has good hometime policy, with BANKING of days. I've done numerous runs for Conway Freight (with Arnold) and the company as a whole seems to have it's s--t together.

Crete/Shaffer has a terminal in Greensboro. I turned 125k paid miles with them in 11 months @ .39cpm. No problem taking 3-4 days off if you stay out 21-28 days.

    Vito Thanks this.

Another option is to switch terminals.

In my company different terminals have different rules for home time.
Phoenix is probably the worst of them, with basically the same policy as you stated.

My terminal is SoCal area, and I can take longer than people in many other terminals.
It might also help that I never take home time in my home terminal area, so my truck is never within reach of it.

Switching terminals may require you to relocate, at least your official address. Which may also mean transferring your CDL to that state.
A relative in a different part of the country that you could use for an address, perhaps, that is near a better terminal?

I would tell the dm if he can't work with you that you will be looking for another job. See haw he responds. What have you got to loose.

I think Conway Truckload still is Forced Dispatch to Canada and requires Hazmat. That was there policies when I was there. Some guys don't mind the Canada thing. Epes is a decent outfit also out of Greensboro.

Maybe getting fired on a trumped up reason and left stranded 1000 miles from home?

Never tell ANYONE that you are thinking about quitting, especially in the trucking industry!!!!

My thoughts exactly. Words to live by are from the Godfather where Michael Corleone says "NEVER tell ANYONE what you are thinking!!!"
