When does that San Antonio load deliver? If it drivers on Friday, you'll still be home on Friday...The day you requested.

9am.
But I doubt it, like I said, I've been in situations like this before, and once i accepted the load it was basically like "ok cool he accepted the load, now when he drops it off lets ignore his messages n just send him whereever" -
It's not too bad, Arkansas load then Texas unload then home sometime Friday. Mush! lol.
Refusing a load is not good. Seems to me the right hand does not know what the left is doing in your office. Those make for a fun time. Talk to your designated driver manager. See if you can interchange with a dallas bound load sometime today and give him the empty to go load in Arkansas. -
Drop and go home. Don't call, and your empty call and head home. Don't answer the phone or qcomm till your requested home time is over. They will walk all over you if you let them, don't let them.
KillingTime, Osiris and Xzay Thank this. -
That will lead to one of two things. A firing followed by DAC refusal under load dispatch all the way up to unauthroized use of vehicle etc... or a totally horsewhipped dispatch groveling never to give him any miles because this driver is unreliable. Said driver starves then quits.

I agree about the last part but I dont think ima dead head 250 miles lol
-
You still might dead head from San Antone to home. Eh?
You are wanting a load direct to Dallas. No where else. Well.. just take off and go. Empty or not...
I wonder what your company must think when the Internet is discussing the problem publicly if they ever hear of this... -
its not San Antonio exactly its south of San Antoniox1Heavy Thanks this.

My recommendation is this: do the load since it is not yet Friday, the day you requested to be home. Make the money on the extra miles. Delivery and go home. Inform your dispatch that you are going home after that.....no if and or but.
It just looks like to me they are keeping you busy until your hometime request date. You can still earn money for Swift and yourself.
Requesting a time to be home doesn't fly in this industry. This plan gets you home on exactly the day you requested. If you had plans Friday a.m., you should have requested to be home a day earlier.Chewy352, MachoCyclone and Xzay Thank this. -
If they have you take the trailer to one of their drop yards in Dallas, you should get paid for that. D/H 250 is no biggie, especially if the company if paying for the fuel.
