I have said this in other threads and will say it again here. You MUST develop a good relationship with your FM/DISPATCHER. Everything keys off this. I have seen FMs ask other FMs to watch out for something to get a repower etc to get you home. However blowing off dispatches is not a great way to do this.

I used to have this problem. Then I quit working for a mega carrier, and the problem went away. The issue is that the load planners are limited to within a certain radius of home within which they can deadhead you. They are also being forced to keep the truck rolling by management. Their solution is to keep bouncing you around Texas until you cross their invisible line and they authorize your deadhead.
