Why not use a boat Gas tank?

Fix up a quick release coupling the same as in your boat. Put in in another Tool box beside the Generator. you can unhook It To go & fill It Up .
Plus for the "worry warts" they're dangerous goods approved... (at least they are here in Australia)

I didn't think they made a metal DEF tank of any kind I think they're all plastic.

Depends on the size of the oil filter. I wouldn't go extending the drain with a tiny Yamaha screen type filter.

I thought the urea would eat a hole in metal, I've seen wraps for the tanks but not and actual metal tank.

I think this is my fault for saying DEF tank.

The tank I was suggesting,.. I am not even sure its a DEF tank at all. It was just a smaller chrome round tank,.. approx 25 - 30 gal in size. I said DEF as that was the first "type" of tank that came to mind. I did not mean a DEF tank specifically. I honestly dont know what it was,.. only that it was used to hold gasoline.

Again,.. I apologize for the bickering that seems to follow me where ever I go. Its getting crazy.

Same here. With out idling,.. I can say with all honesty that I see 5.5 - 6.5 MPG on average between fill ups.

I experienced a childish glee when I saw the new mpg numbers. I had no idea idling was costing me so much.

I apologize for saying DEF tank.

I did not mean DEF specifically. I saw a round chrome tank that was used to hold gasoline for a Honda generator. It reminded me of a DEF tank,. and I am only guessing here,.. but would assume if DOT saw it,.. would assume it were a DEF tank, because thats what it resembled. Not gasoline.

    Sorry for the confusion.
