Honor Program for vets revamped !!!

Passed it easier than expected.

No deductions on parrallel parking and offset backing. During the road test driving ortion,I did get a 3 point deduction on a sharp left hand turn, in which I turned straight to the outside lane,instead of into the inside lane and then over to the outside. The way I did as actually the safest way to turn, but for some reason,the state of Ga. has some rule against it.

Now I just have to see if I can pass the one that ROEHL will give me during orientation.

 

I'm heading to Roehl orientation March 23 prospectively, and I can't wait. I've been hunting like a mad man around Southwest Ohio for a farmer needing a driver, but no one can insure me let alone need me to run in this economy. I opted for the HP as well and I think it will work out well. Wish me luck.

 

hello all I just talked to duwayne and was informed that as of march of this year roehl no longers offers the apprenticeship program.

I also found out that they have started a new pay program with ten cents per mile being tax free.

anybody have some feedback on how this new pay program impacts your take home pay?

I'm due to start there in mid july and would like to know what I'm getting into.

My husband missed being able to take advantage of the Honor Program by a week, story of our lives lol. He did get the decal, pin and stuff they hand out for them when orientation was over though, which I now have lol.
As far as pay I like it, he was low on miles this past week due to needing to be home for an appt. so I was afraid of an extra lean check, it was a couple hundred dollars more than I expected, so that's always a nice surprise when the checks more not less than you anticipate lol. Who knows how their pay scale will be come July, it may change again by then lol.
