Hood hinge bushings

    So, this is the contraption I came up with for changing my bushings. It's just too bad that Kenworth sold me the wrong parts. Maybe they sold the right parts but they didn't fit into the holes and bolts didn't fit through bushings. The little rubber ones are what I just purchased while the big steel ones are what came out. 20190804_152136.jpg 33873.jpeg

    So,the update on this one is:
    The rubber bushings were actually correct for the truck, just not the ones I asked for. Since I'm not driving all the way back to NoDak for a $400 return, I put them on the truck and also purchased the sleeves and replacement hardware for the entire hinge assemblies.
    After removing the bumper (again) the whole job was completed without even tipping the hood forward. The most difficult part of the job was lining up the body gaps/getting the hood square.
