So, the shortest background I think I can muster, I work for a university, I do IT administration, and we just bought a 2006 Freightliner M2 with a 16ft box to move heavy equipment around campus. Some of us, including me, are gearheads, but a commercial truck is quite new to us.
My simple question, we may have a need to lock down the hood. The truck is parked in the open and drunk college students are everywhere. If I was a drunk college student gearhead, I'd probably want to open the hood and generally screw around in there.
I've searched for hood locks but the best I can come up with is adapting hood pins from a hot rod. There must be a better way. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
