    Again some trailers do, some trailers dont. Older ones never did. But with half a brain you can.

    So in your drawing above when you say "it wont cut it" does that mean it wont work or it wont cut the actual strap?

    I met that guy during their load securement, said to give him a call any time of the day if you’re clueless af like I’ll probably be and he seemed like the kind of guy who means what he says, for once

    Noticed the trailer is an old one, still has SMX logo on the main beam.

    None of my 4" straps with the typical flat j-hooks will fit the stake pocket opening so I can hook it to it, Only my 3" straps will fit the stake pocket. I do carry 4 of the ratchets with the short chain/hook and 4 of the 30' long straps with the chain/hook. They do come in handy. You can pick them up from Amazon or several other of your favorite securement retailers.
