Hook Strap to Rub Rail

    Some of them don't have a WLL. I think nowadays most of them do.

    Some of the old aluminum trailers had really weak rubrails and would just rip right off when used as a securement point. And the horror stories that proliferated from them can still be heard today about not using the rub-rail for securement. It's not the 80's anymore, most rubrails are built as a tie down point, horror stories are slow to be forgotten.

    But, it's always good to cover your butt and check for a WLL tag or ask the manufacturer.

    I would. :)

    Rubrails usually have a WLL of 6-6.5k where a spool is only 2-3k.
