Hoosier Tradewinds

I don't know when you quit Gene, but I quit at the very end of February and did not get my last check yet which was only $100 (I got as much fuel as I could and then they charged me a BS trailer recovery fee). They couldn't even muster the ##### 100 bucks. Still have not received my escrow from them ($600) either which in the contract states they have 45 days. One of these days I am gonna have to call Mr. Deck and go round and round with him before I see a penny if ever. I would probably not have gotten my second to last check either if I hadn't pulled some crap and left them in the dark on starting with my new company which they got pissy about. Don't know how they can blame me. Let's see, get out owing me 700 or 2500 to 3000? They would have loved it if it had been the latter I'm sure. They are crooked as the day is long and unfortunately they did not learn a #### thing 3 or 4 years ago the first time they tanked, but I believe (or at least hope!) they will soon enough. Age old saying what goes around, ah hell ya know.

 

this company is a very poorly ran company. they finally settled with me after 10 weeks of waiting. the who work for this company are very good people , they are just doing what thier told. this company will go bankrumpt soon. so in closing i wouldnt suggest to anyone to accept a job company or owner opertor i would say ruuuuuuuuuuuuuun away as fast as possible.

 

I quite last week but when I was first hired 3 weeks ago they sent me on a recover mission and from that point I knew something wasn't right and I also knew that I would find out why and I did unfortanatly it took me 3 weeks to get out oif there and only being paid for my first week because I wouldnt deliver a load till I was paid for the 1st week they owed me for and we had a phone argument that no one would believe unless u heard it,but at no time did they admit they were wrong and in fact they still tryied to put the blame on me and I wasn't hearing it.They work they get paid I work I will get paid.They owe me 4 two weeks and I did file a claim with the Indiana labor board so its a matter of time before I get paid.I just can't believe this company is up and running after the first chapter 11 u think they would of learned what they did wrong the first time and made changes,not really sure what there problems are but I know what I went through with them and can say it will be a great day when they collapse again and its just a matter of time.They should let the new safty guy run the show he knows whats going on and I'm sure he can fix the problems cause the rest of them have no clue whats going on.The new safty guy use to be a trucker and probably soon will b again and u can tell from the expression on his face its discuss.The company surrvives on lies and that can only last for so long the word is out and has been from what I have read on here just wish I saw this first.Any who I have 2 hours to I catch my bus to P.A. for 1st day of orientation tomorrow and I know its going to be good cause nothing can get any worste than trade winds that had to b my worst experience in the industry and I'm a new jack at this but smart enough to know when to go.I'll b home wenesday to load up the tractor and can't wait to get out there and get a pay check for the work I perform.For any 1 who may read my blog or this reply thread save your self the hassel and avoid this company"Hoosier Tradewinds" Take it easy Geno o o o

 

The new safety guy? Did Josh quit or is that who you are talking about because I know he used to be a driver, but he started a week before I came over and that was over 2 years ago. If he left I am sorry to hear that (or I guess happy for him I should say?!?)because him and I always got along really well. He was not your typical safety guy to say the least. His wife, Misty, worked there as well. Anyways, Gene good luck at the new gig. Hope all goes well and like my wife and I said after I left, it can't really get any worse than H.T. and you can only go up from there. Any company that doesn't jerk you around with your paycheck is a step in the right direction. You take something so minute for granted (meaning a paycheck) until BS like this happens to ya. And Josh or Misty, if ya read this and ya were able to get out and move on to bigger and better things, I wish you and your family all the best my friend. I am sure Bill P. will send the same sentiment as well.

 

Still can't believe the newer responses about this messed up company. Can someone tell me how they are still in business??

Let me say it again REEEEEEEEEEL slow -
(1)Driver's checks bounce - and you are FOS if you think they make it up to you. (2)No maintenance on trucks AT ALL. All of their equipment is crap. (3) Low fuel funds, drivers have to call in to see if its okay to fuel. (4) When fuel card does work, 95% of the time there are no funds in the acct to cover - so I always had to call in and wait til after 5pm. (5) No escrow paybacks if you quit. They use that money elsewhere in the company. (6) Funds are deducted from my check for my child support....They use that money also without paying the state. (7) I hear they owe a ####load to many banks (in the hundreds of thousands per). (8) Recovery companies stopped using them because they are too far in the hole (Thousands and Thousands) - which they will never pay. (9) They only care about themselves. For them to be still alive, I should find out what God they are serving...Seems to be working for them. Spread the word, and do not join this company...WORTHLESS. I could go on, but I need to deliver my load for the REAL company I'm now working for...Hmmm...NOT ONE BOUNCED CHECK IN 1 1/2 YEARS...ALL GOOD HERE

 

The Company is located in a Part of town That is called "BAKER"S CORNER" so figure it out people, when "Baker's Dozen" comes on here talking about how good this piece of #### of a company is....it really doesn't take to much imagination to figure out who it is........The company is #### and it will always be #### and until they quit finding gulible people to put into their raggidy equipment....they will go on screwing over people like they always have!
You have been warned so if you decide that you would rather support them and their families rather than you and yours, you have nobody to blame except yourselfs!

 

Interesting on the Baker's Corner. Did not know that, but did know that it was a mole. They admitted it to me when I quit that they are on here because these are my initials and my hometown so it wasn't too hard to figure out it was me that was bashing them on here. Whooowee was Matt pissed! We had about a 10 minute shouting match and that's how we ended it after I was already signed on somewhere else. There were 2 other mole handles on here as well at that time. One was one of the recruiters because they were the one that told Matt about me. Charlies something, which I think may have been Charlotte possibly, not sure. Can't remember the other oneThey had only been signed on for a day and were only commenting about H.T. topics and talking about how awesome they are. Anyhow they definitely know about everything on here. Pretty comical really that instead of fixing their problems they come on here and try to hide them.

 

Ha that's funny. I had been talking to a recruiter from Tradewinds and was all ready to go until I read all this. I abruptly told them I had a change of heart and why. Thank god for this forum cuz I would have been the next sucker!!!! Thx for all the good info. You all have saved me and my family from a whole lotta headaches.
