The wet cake stuff all is or end or side dumps and that would be the best way to haul ddgs too but that'd cost them more to haul it.

Ya I can put 25 ton on everyday. I think the small walkin floors are 22.5 ton on average. Dont take that to be the gospel

That with a hopper? I've thought about getting a walking floor or a belt bottom but for what ddgs pays doesn't justify paying that kind of money for a trailer.

Yea the 25 is with a hopper. You gotta catch the feed mill needing them to get a decent rate. For instance from just cross Indiana line to Pine Bluff Ar be as low as 32 a ton say Monday. Then bout Wednesday the broker be hunting me a load up that way cause they are at 46. Usually just one load at a time lol. This year they been consistent outta St louis area to west Arkansas with a decent rate

Yea I can catch a lot of loads of that garbage if I wanted but it's just such a pain in the butt to unload sometimes that its not worth it.

You aint gonna make enough off it around here if you spend 65 on a trailer.

Different parts of the country do things a little differently. There is one consistent thing though. The guys that haul x loads of corn or wheat a day to different feed mills absolutely hate a DDG truck in line. ####s their money up they may end up a load short that day. Any outsiders are immediate #### suckers. Soybean meal, rice and corn is what most our local guys haul. I won't call it garbage but I'm not sitting in that line gossiping waiting to load for what they pay. Nor am I gonna haul 200 to 300 more bushel in a bigger wagon for the same per bushel price as a 5 axle set up. You can sit high on your horse like your somebody all you want. Like the rest of us you got your good days and bad. You also have to remember what is #### here may be better there. At the very end of the day I will bet your local money is close to ours. You know why grain and feed rates stay so stagnant when every one else soar?

There probably isn't 8 or 10 commodities buyers in the US. Every swinging broker has the very same #### for the same people. Idk if you pull direct for your people it's still gonna be the buyer or trader setting the rates. They don't care of you won't pull it for X someone else will.

I agree I ain't working for nothing. I will bounce and take a hit before I haul and take one. Knowing what works in your area as well as others is where money is made or lost

That's for a good live bottom, thought I said, meant to anyway. A nice hopper is 45 brand new, a little less if you don't put any lights on it or anything.
