Starting out it'd probably be cheaper to find a broker or trucking company and just lease onto them

How do you manage profits, cause down here company's pay 75% of what the truck makes to an owner operator and deduct fuel costs. Using the logic of 25 tons most loads pay about 20 to 30 a ton so thats about 500 to 750 a load minus fuel.

That speeding ticket you received is a deal breaker for insurance companies.
-
Kind of figured that as far as getting my own authority. I could possibly still lease on with one of the companies and just run my own truck
-
Insurance would kill me cause of a ticket even though its not on my mvr. Got the thing 6 months ago

you never know till you check.

Bout to go back otr and start saving the money back. Ill either drive a company truck with one of the hopper carriers or i might buy my own truck. By the time fuel and maintenance comes out the pay is similar.

Zayah Thanks this.

May try to get on as a company driver first to learn the business and then buy my own truck
