    Are there any hopper bottom owner operators in the Northern Illinois area that are in this forum that I could get some advise from?

    If you do a search, there is a thread with over six hundred pages on running hoppers and dumps in illinois. Tons of great info, and you can pick out the O/Os and PM them too.

    Actutally, its only a few threads below yours right now.

    From Central IL. Don't run them full-time (no money for that) but have three that we use during harvest and when a project comes up that pays.

    You deal with Menards? Must like getting @#$%^& a lot. I had 3 trailers in there at 1 time, wuz pulling loads out to there stores. Man what a bunch of liars and jerks!! Finally yanked all my trailers after the last one. This business is tough enuff without customers like that.
