    Renting is cheaper than leasing.

If you want the sleep in your truck, than take a sleeper.

Only reason I would sleep in the truck would be line at adm or unloading at feed mill. Ya I thought of just renting for awhile but idk yet working on all the details now getting everything on paper with an accountant and a Guy that knows his stuff

The max a wet kit will weigh without oil is 150 pounds. Most trailers will dump with 50 gallon of oil. Some of the 42 ft frame less dumps need 75. Whether its hopper or dump some products stick, that is part of it. The bad part of it is its all gotta come out one way or another. If grain is all you are are hauling then its not a lot of work unloading. Thing about big tubs is they are easy to lay over, and easy to go broke with. Now that by no means says there is no money there. It means that it takes the right person to make it pay. There is a lot more to pulling a dump or hopper than most see. It takes the right contacts and the right mindset. Its a lot more than just opening doors to unload, or jerking a lever to tip or flip the tub.

Please don't take this wrong I usually encourage and this will be meant as a form of it. From what I have read you haven't even started good on research, the one good thing I heard is accountant. I see a lot of folks running out and buying a truck to go to work before they even look for work. I have 10 calls a week from boys with trucks wanting to work them asking me who is putting trucks on. I see people that have trucked all their life selling out. My point is that is a sign its headed down hill this shortage every one is talking about is bull. My son is pulling a hopper in Ar grain is all he hauls and he stays in state. He leaves out alot at midnite to get to Stuttgart with his preload so he can first in line. That is crucial to get a preload, works 14 to 16 hours a day. Thats if the truck doesn't need work to run the next day. He pays himself 300.00 dollars a week, cause he still has to save for that catastrophic break down we all have some day. Ya he has a fine ride, ya he takes good care of it. But if he don't when the party is over he will be left with nothing. So think long and hard is this really what you want to do?

Yes this is wat I want and it won't be just grain. Yes while ill only be in state doesn't mean I wont make it out there I live in Illinois and adm is based 15-20 from my home town. I'd be hauling corn germ and bean meal for the outfit I'd be leased too and with that being said he doesn't take much but like 6 percent out of your weekly settlement and his pay for sitting in lines is 30 bucks plus. Ya he will run me hard but it'll all be worth it and I can be home every nite too. The average profit a week with him is 1500 to 2000 a week and that's after bills and what not

1500 to 2000 a week profit after fuel, insurance, 6 percent broker fee, truck payment, tires and maintenance breakdowns, trailer rent or payments, and paying your self a drivers wage? So what is the per ton pay, and how many ton are you wanting to put on? How far a turn is it? How many do you get a day? Is there a fuel Surcharge?

He lives less than 20 miles from most bins he loads out of. The whole leaving at midnight is to get to barge and be first in line the next morning so he gets an extra load a day. He can put 26 ton on his Pete with a 42 ft 78x96 Timpte super hopper. Doesn't pay 6 percent no broker involved. Gets avg 5.5 mpg. He could put more in his pocket a week but not the figures you are speaking about. If it was that good every trucker in the world would be knocking on the guys door. I wish you the best I'm not saying you wom't succeed. But I am saying do your research you have missed something big in your figures. If you want to succeed believe that statement right there please. I been where you are and made it but for a long time everything hinged on making every decision a good one.

Yes that's after all the expenses. Ya sounds too good to be true I know. But I do know he is turning down 5-10 loads dwn every day. I've been doin all my research for about year and a half ya I maybe pissing in the wind but I'm not gonna give up because I'm driven to do this and I got a point to prove to some haters that don't believe in me. I'm not gonna get ####y bout it tho. I know show and shine isn't gonna make me money running my ### off will make me my money.

I never pulled dump body's but I used to pull hoppers and walking floors and I really liked those. On the hoppers just open the chutes a little at a time and sit back and watch. Same with walking floors I pulled ag products all the time with them and had to keep them clean because you can't have any cross contamination between diff. Loads but it was real easy.
