Hopper, Dump O/O's & Drivers

Used to make a road, most places call it blacktop or asphalt. Arrived in PA and they started asking if I repaired macadam? I had no idea.

Then came go get the tug-motor.

What's a tug motor?

 

I was we don't need no dang boat motor, but it's what they call a forklift in these parts.

 

Yeah its funny how different parts of the country have different names for things. I used to try to figure out at what point going north a pallet became a skid. I've got a plumber friend originally from the Michigan UP who told me that they used to think anybody south of Milwaukee was a rebel.

 

Everyone remember to send in their 2290 (Heavy Vehicle Use Tax) this month? Just filled mine out tonight.

 

They'll be out harvesting in the snow again.

 

Yep, had 3 1/2" monday night, and dumped another 1 1/2" out of the gauge this morning. Kind of thought I would pick corn this weekend, but don't think the ground will hold me up, and these cool temps, won't let the crop dry down enough anyway. Son was trying to find some local grain to haul for a few days, but not much moving. Broker says they are going to get busy soon, but I will be busy with corn/bean harvest, so I will keep my son busy for awhile myself!(lol)
