That last post wasn't really about you. I think you have a pretty good idea where the loads are all over.

Had a friend tell me his beans are waist high and that's on dryland. Do believe going to be a lot of beans.

I'll probably use diesel on it, I've used it before to get tar off, but never on this big an area. I'm guessing it will take at least half a day to get it all off. Also used WD-40, but that's a lot of WD-40 to do the whole side of a trailer. I screwed up, I should have taken pics right after it happened and got an estimate from our local car wash and detail shop, and sent them with a bill and a letter explaining what happened to the paving company. They probably would have laughed at it and thrown it away, but it would have made me feel better. Stress reliever!

$12K with a new rebuild, shoot, you got a great deal there. I'd rather run an older truck and have to work on it once in a while, than a newer one and be making payments on it even when business is slow.

New trans and clutch too for $12K!?? You're killing me here! :biggrin_25519: We bought the T-600 in my pic last summer for a lot more than that, 840,000 and everything was original. How many miles does it have on the overhaul?

Anybody use Lucas fifth wheel lube? We got a bottle and I've done ours once. I dropped a trailer for a tarp and it looks likes it's doing the job. I made a lot less of a mess with it than I do with regular grease. I like to use a lot of grease though- that may be part of it.

If you to continue to have bolts vibirate loose, you probably have a miss, or an driveline vibration. An engine miss will cause bellhousing and related bolts to back out.

Been there, done that. Found out the hard way when I tried to start the truck, and the bellhousing was seperated from the transmission by about 1 inch. Ended up I had a cracked piston causing a small miss I couldn't detect. It was a VT-903, and didn't sound like it was missing.

If you have puffing smoke comming out the oil filler tube, then suspect rings or a piston.
