Yes I love lucas fifth wheel lube it lasts much better than gease and more convenient

As far as slow goes yeah definetly I am just waiting on harvest then it will be all gung ho until summer 2010 I think we could be in for some decent prices for the grain I really dont think the crops are as good nationwide as everyone thinks and a frost would be devastating to the bean crop in the northern states dont get me wrong there will be some excellent crops in some places likely on the average side nationwide I just hate waiting I actually have to do regular farm work lol I always seem to get side tracked from haying or messing with cows to walk corn and bean fields it is nice to have the cushion of our own to haul when I cant get the other work but now I'm cleaned out which is good I really fought bugs in the corn in late summer

need to call a customer or two tommorow and see if there is a bit to do before harvest my truck looks lonely

I'm guessing harvest here will be corn first about oct 1

That's when the farmers were guessing around here too. We'll see.

Bad about the electric company. Sometimes they get in hurry. Hope it gets better for you.

it was just an oversight. There's been so much going on this month with school tarting, making sure I have my first truck payment and then this whole AC thing. it just got overlooked.
We have entergy and they will shut you down in a second. Makes me mad they did it just as the sun went down, it's after hours so you can't even call and make the payment to get it turned right back on. o now I have a fridge and freezer full of food thawing out and no way to get the power turned back on. Oh, and they never sent any notice or nothing. We always have gotten a disconect notice like two days after the bill was late with a date to pay by or it would be shut off. Didn't get it this time (which is probably why it got overlooked)

Geez, I see what you mean, I can see my breath. Can't smell any frost or snow coming but time to put the winter coat in the truck.

Farmers alamanc (sp) said we were going to have numbing cold here this winter. I hope it waits to after harvest. Harvest is not pleasant when it is cold...Even worse cold & snowy. There have been black wooly worms and bushy tailed squirrels around here. Both are signs of cold winter. Time will tell.

Hauling seed wheat screenings again today. Another truck was there from a company my son works for. He works as a crop consultant at a seed place in western kansas, Sharp Bros Seed. They are a big seed company with some nice looking trucks.

I got 4 repeat loads of Meat and Bone meal from Gainesville, Ga back to Ansonville, NC which is 30 miles from home. I'll be doing those the remainder of this week. $25/ton + 15.5%

497 miles including DH, $1.20 to the truck after broker and trailer deductions. That's about as good as it's going to get running legal all week. Should be pretty easy. (as long as the stuff comes out!)

Slept a good portion of the day after unloading this morning. I'll do these runs at night. Shipper is open 24/7. No scales or traffic. Should be through home daily.
