Yes. Didn't give too bad a deal.

Would probably be easier to weld something on you could grab

I would talk to them. It is their trailer you're leasing. That could happen to anyone.

My trailer is the same way, can't drop it without putting a 4x4 under the landing gear.

Some of those old style brakes can be fun to adjust. Maybe they will find end dump before harvest starts.

That's a little unhandy. I usually try to unhook when I'm empty...Which isn't hard since I usually unhook every weekend or every other.

We don't use this truck at harvest. We use the hoppers. Well actually we do but only if they want to send 1 binder to cut beans cuz this truck can keep up there.

Guess this is weekend to grease truck and do other things to it. Will have an extra day since elevators closed Monday. The weather is cool so that will make things easier.

I've been trying to mount a set of half fenders on my T-8. Got one side almost done yesterday, then when I drilled through the frame doing the other side, hit the bundle of air lines that runs down the inside of the left rail. Didn't just get one, managed to chew into 3 of them! :biggrin_25523: Spliced the 2- 1/4" ones but the 5/8" that goes to the rear brakes decided it would be easier to pull it out and put a whole new one in. Luckily NAPA in town had what I needed. The hard part is trying to make the other side match the first side, for some reason, the front arm on the 2nd side doesn't quite go in the same spot on the frame as the first, when the fender is lined up the same. Going to get it lined up the best I can, as long as no one can look at both sides at the same time, I'll be ok.

Another day of putting off cleaning the oil off the hopper. Giving it every chance I can to clean itself, but its just not cooperating.

Better get back to it, hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend.

Aren't you good hit all three hoses...just one of those days. At least you had time to fix it, during harvest would have been a lot worse.

yeah those fenders can be a real pita to get mounted right.i had a set on my last truck & after i got them mounted realized one side was off a little. i was the only one that ever noticed it,but still would have liked for them to have been the same. i am wanting to put a a set on the truck i have now,but things are going to have to pick up first. no extra money around for something you dont have to have.

Got them put on finally with a lot of help from dad. They don't match perfectly, but like you say, probably no one but us will ever notice. Drilling through stainless is a b@$----! 10 holes in each fender, 2 through the frame for each side. Wanted to wash it today too, but I've about had enough for one day, need to get over my yard before its so tall it needs baled. There's always tomorrow and monday for washing and shining.
