Nice to have weekend to relax and enjoy. That doesn't happen much if you are a O/O...there's always something to do to the truck.

Yeah I am back. Was on the road for three weeks straight and then came home for a day and a half last weekend and then left Monday and back home today for the weekend. I am staying busy, leaving again on Monday for Texas to haul frac sand.

Anyone ever hauled for these guys? I picked up a load of corn pellets in Louden, TN going to a chicken farm in Mississippi. Their name was on the paperwork. I asked the farmer if this is who he calls for loads and he said no he calls someone else in Miss. then that guy calls Key then they call the place where I loaded. Sounds like a lot of people are getting a piece of the pie.

I used to know a dairyman who fed brewer's grains. I'm pretty sure they hauled that in an enddump. That stuff smelled good.

Anyone haul rocks in your hoppers? I loaded at a rock quarry in Oklahoma a week ago and three hoppers loaded behind me with 2" rock which I think will do some damage. One was a guy from Kansas with a pretty new Timpte and the other two belong to an outfit that wrote the book on hauling cheap and heavy. All the loads were going to Wichita. I just think it wouldn't be good on a hopper and what about warranty on a newer trailer.

I only hauled rock one time back in 1991 with a new Jet steel hopper but I was just a driver. It was winter time and I hauled it 100 miles and it froze by the time I got to where I was delivering it. We could not get the doors open. The next day after we got it unloaded and repaired on of the doors I told the boss I would quit before I ever hauled rock in a hopper again.

I been hauling 1 1/2 clean and SB2 in a dump bob. I wouldn't want to haul that in my hopper. Gotta be hard on doors.

Lime or chat (pea gravel) doesnt seem like it would be too bad anything bigger than that seems pretty risky to me

I've been hauling rocks out of 2 pits for 2 weeks. I've seen no hoppers yet.
