RW, did you get the truck back. Also, has anyone checked to see how the rates were for progressive?

I think Pharm has insurance through Progressive. He might be able to tell you.

Thanks wheathauler.
In trucking does getting age or experience matter to insurance companies?
Hunter -
It does with some of them. You might get insurance if you don't have much of either but it probably would be costly.

progressive claims to insure more commercial trucks than anyone. however alot of the ones that they insure are drivers with little or no experience or drivers with bad mvr's that cant get it anywhere else. my insurance is up for renewal in nov.,so my agent got me a quote from them to see what the difference would be from my current company.it was more than double what i am paying now, nothing was changed on the quotes, they were apples to apples,i said no thanks.

Progressive had a 500 mile limit, with 4X exception. I couldn't see that and nearly 4K higher to boot. Glad I looked for better. My premiums will drop to half what I pay now in a couple of years. But I went with the Gecko, well through them to a sister company.

Age does matter, not sure about experience, don't know that I've ever been asked what experience I had. We've had a semi since I was 20, started out as a farm semi, but to insure me as a driver back then was costly. Can't remember when the premiums started dropping, seemed like it took a long time, maybe 29 or 30? And that's with no accidents for me, or any tickets other than occasional speeding ticket.
The new air to air was supposed to come in today, and of course it didn't. Can get by without the other truck, not real busy, but it would be nice to have the truck back together.
Looks like that trailer sunk a couple feet, wonder how quickly it did that? What a deal...... -
It sank until the bottom of the trap was on the ground.
The funny thing is, those guys have a shop with a wash bay right there, they park 3 pete's with hoppers there every night after they wash them. They should have known better. Ah well, bet he won't do it again. -
Hauled some seed wheat screenings today. Then went to state fair. Man my legs aren't used to walking. I would say the fair is cheap entertainment except I'm not sure anything was cheap. The food definitely isn't cheap.
