Far as I know test went ok. Didn't really say except if they didn't call back today was probably all right. Never heard from them after test so I guess OK. Gave me a nuclear tread mill stress test. Put little bit of radioactive stuff in your blood and then take pictures of heart...before and after treadmill. Something to look forward to as you get older.
Yes, they always seem to call about work when you can't help them. Oh well that's trucking. Might as well use drop deck I don't think will be using hoppers for a while.

They put radioactive stuff in ya? Does that mean you're glowing in the dark now??
-
You know I wondered about that too...so far haven't started glowing yet. Would work out great for Halloween.

Wheathauler I hope all your tests turn out well. If it's like it is here you have to wait on results like 2 weeks. It's all about control games I think. It rained here all night like pouring it out of a boot. It's getting serious. The Cache was already backing out in our fields and now several inches more. All this salted rice the stalks get weak and it'll break over like corn. I feel for the bosses.

We've got about 1.8" now, rain is almost stopped. Lucky, heard some places got a lot more. I would say that when it dries up enough to go, folks will go cut what they can, and will probably have to leave the really wet places until we either have no rain for a month, or it freezes hard enough to hold them up. I know it has been driving me up a wall having to wait on the weather like this, I can imagine it really works on a person's sanity if they have a couple thousand acres still to get in.

I've been meaning to ask how many of you have positrac, traction control, whatever you want to call it on your trucks. We have it on our 2 IH 9400's and it really helps in soft ground and mud. These are the only 2 trucks I've ever driven that have it. I get stuck much less in those 2 trucks. The boss said he's never buying another truck without it and I told him that's fine with me.

I just have a lock for the rear differental. Hopefully everybody is done with the rain.
RW was in your old stoppin grounds of Alden today. Frederick keeps getting bigger and bigger. -
Ours just have the interaxle diff lock, I'd like to have em with full locking rears, never drove a truck that had them, but they'd surely be better.
Sounds like the rain is gone for a while, supposed to be clear for a week. The wind just howled last night something terrible, glad the corn seems to still be standing.
WH, I look at their webpage once in while, they definitely have gotten bigger since I worked for them. Glad they like it, I wouldn't want to deal with the stress of managing everything they have to. They were awesome folks to work for though, hope they still are. Is Alden still pretty small? WHen I was there, main street was just the bank, post office, restaurant, fire station, a church, and Frederick's shop. -
Yes, town is still small...not much has changed except they have new shop on main st. They have three huge GSI grain bins on about ten acres east of town...has huge area to turn around in plus all graveled.
Hauled beans out of there yesterday so Cargill terminal would have beans to put on train. Can't say I ever remember having to get beans for a unit train this many times during harvest. I guess because they haven't been getting many beans in. That should change by the end of next week, if weather reports are right. -
Cowdoc drying out yet? Should I say quit raining.
