Called it a day, early today! The juice went out in Colwich, and then DeBruce had a 3 mile long line. The snow wasn't making things any easier, so here I sit all warm and toasty at the house.
-
That seems to be the norm for Colwich... they seem to break down frequently. Last summer they were down for months. Is that the Debruce line off Hoover or the harvest line? Either way that's way too long of line. I stayed home today too.

You guys just keep that snow out there, we don't need it.

Ok I have been busier than ever the last 2 weeks and have hardly been on we have all our beans cut and have 350 acres of corn to go but now with this rain I have had a little break over the weekend but now i'm emptying out the holding bin to make room for corn when we get going again I nly spent 3 out of the last 14 nights at home because of the lines and havent been more than a hundred miles out I'll check back later i'm next in line right now hehe
-
Sounds like you have been busy. They must have some nasty lines to be gone that much. Always nice to be next in line...even better to be over the pit.

Changed my truck insurance today...went to Northland. I am saving around 150 month over old company. I guess a person should check every year or two on insurance rates to try and save money.

Hauling beans from Alden to Hutch. Guess harvest rates are gone..they dropped the rate on this run. They didn't go up very much during harvest. The rates will probably be interesting this winter. Interesting meaning cheap, cheap and cheaper.
