Only get 100,000 out of tires doing this work. Too many dirt roads and elevator entrances to last much longer. 100,000 is as long as I want to go with shocks too.

What brand tires and size do you run? I run BF Goodrich on the steer and I am trying a set of Kelly's KDA on the drives. I have some friends that run short and they have had good luck with the Kelly drive tires over the years so I am trying a set. -

Oh man, did you guys just hit a sore spot with me. I have been noticing that the crappy caps I have for drive tires are wearing at an alarmingly fast rate. I haven't put 20K on these tires, and one of them is ready for the trash pile. I would have guessed them to be at 70% when I purchased the truck. Guess I need to have the rear aligned. The fronts still look brand new as I had my alignment guy balance them on the truck. Are you guys running closed shoulder drives? Mine are open, wondering if the closed shoulders will get a much longer life???
Last night I ordered a set of Cross Fire Dual Tire Equalizers. But, I am guessing its too late for these drives.
On my way out of Newells Wednesday I briefly spoke to the guy at the tire shop. He said they just got in 100 drive tires, and claimed he was going to sell them at a fair rate... Don't know what brand the tires are, but it may be worth checking into. -
I have never in my life run caps I have always bought virgin rubber so I wouldn't now how long they would last. I run Centramatics wheel balancers and believe in them. I always do a three axle alignment and if you pull your own trailer it is good to have the trailer aligned. Also I rotate my tires every 50,000 miles, sometimes I criss cross the tires and sometimes I just move the fronts to the back and the back to the fronts.

Well, got the oil changed, new wipers, greased, all the fun things today. Farmers & commercial hauling into elevator today...they have some huge piles of milo on the ground. Two years ago had a millon bushels on the ground...think may break that this year. They have air pipes on the bottom and other things in the piles. Hopefully better than last time had problems with spoilage.
