At least you finished harvest before the weather gets really bad. We got a little sprinkling of rain and snow flakes early this evening, but not much.

Made my 55 mile trip down to Cargill first thing this morning, they had a sign saying "Wednesdays Safety Meetings, Open at 8am". I wondered since things are the way the are this harvest, would they really go through with it? What on earth do they talk about that they can't cover the rest of the year? Sure enough, I was the 3rd truck in line, not a dam thing happened until 7:45. Bunch of fockers.... (Cargill corporate I mean, not so much the workers) then this afternoon, got my last load loaded at 3:45, close at 5, trying to make a 55 mile trip through 4 towns in that much time, cutting it way too close.

Dad saw some excitement today. ADM he was hauling to had the place full of trucks and lined up out on the highway from both directions. A guy behind him thought a truck from the other direction cut in line, got in an argument with the guy. They came back to dad and asked him if the other guy was already there, dad told them that the guy was there when he pulled up. The guy behind dad that started the argument turned to walk back to his truck, muttered something about the "dumb SOB cutting in line", the other guy walked over and popped him in the mouth! :biggrin_2555: Then asked him what he didn't understand when dad verified he didn't cut in front of anybody. The guy got back on his feet, walked back to his truck not saying another word.

That's the only instance of things going to fists I've heard about, but am told there have been a lot of heated words and arguments lately. Guess a 3 hour line does that to people.

Be safe out there, if you're going to start an argument, well, don't.... but if you do, better know the person you're messing with.

That brings to mind an incident that happened in the bean line at Wichita. Long lines and one trucker hit another one with a crank handle. The guy who was hit beat the other guy up. I didn't see it but the guy who who got hit was telling me the story. I heard the story from different people so guess it is true.

Cornhusker crank handle won't hurt too bad. Wouldn't want to get hit with a Timpte handle, they are big and sturdy.

Wow, a crank handle could really mess someone up. A couple years ago here, a jealous ex-boyfriend beat a new boyfriend to death with a Mag lite. I wouldn't want to hit someone with either unless I had to to defend my life.

Yeah, thats one of those deals that, if you do it, you #### well better mean it cause there aint no going back. Same kind of reason I don't carry a gun in my truck any more.

kansas,.. put 2 tubes of antifoot fungal stuff in the 425 kittycat today and went to somerset 50 miles south, pulled (Halls Gap 15%grade-1mile long) with 25.5ton soyhulls and the o'l pete was breathing fire, better get a patent on that stuff!, its better than transmission fluid! naw, seriously though, i put the shock treatment of bio-kleen in both tanks yesterday and looked in tanks with flashlight after running today and can already see a bunch of floaters, changed secondary filter when i got home...can anybody say NASTY! probably take at least 3 more secondary and 2 more primary's before i get it all but at least i'm making headway. my cab looks like a NAPA store. between me,my bordercollie, and all the NAPA stuff, theres not much room left, hope i don't get a level 2 DOTinspection, RW. or i'll be in trouble. anyhow, thanks for ALL the help, folks!

As the farmers I haul for say it's nice to have that problem...as for running out of storage. All the crops were good this year but milo was out of sight. They only had 200 acres but it made from 100-125 bushel per acre. Some years consider 60 bpa a good crop.

Some milo in western kansas was making 150-170 bushel per acre. Needless to say they have grain piled on the ground. They will have to move it shortly as wheat harvest is only six months away. Hard to believe wheat harvest is that close but finishing in December makes it short.

Yipes, good thinking to keep at least a couple of those spare filters with ya at all times. Maybe I should try the bio-kleen on my feet then:biggrin_2552:???? Speaking of border collies... I have been looking around on Google for a Border Collie breeder. Been thinking of getting one for a while now any advice?

I have been stocking up on fuel dope for my Cummins. Weather man says single digit wind chill lows for next week, and this is only December.
