no the hose ends go on the valve stems like a valve. then attach the valve body to one of the bolts holding the hub cap on, or remove a lug nut & mount under it. i used to pick up at the stockyard there in lancaster several years ago. pick up a few there then go down to somerset & finish out.dairyman Thanks this.

thanks for the info,i think an o'l ex dairyman turned grain hauler could install them. sounds like a neet little time saver. if you went from lancaster to somerset then you know about that steep little climb,Hall's Gap, south of stanford on US27 then.

I tell you what Colwich will do that to you. I get tired more easily waiting in line than driving. I don't envy Kansas being at Colwich it's a mess. The ethanol plant at Lyons is much much nicer.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
wheathauler,..i here you all talk bout Colwich and the lines a lot.do they just have 1 pit that is real slowww?or are they not organized that well with truck flow?it must be bad cause i hear ya'll talk about it like your trying to avoid the flu.
-
One pit and takes around 13-15 minutes to unload if busy. If not busy can unload in a hurry. You also have wet trucks going out with wet dg and there is only one scale. You go into pit and then back out and try to avoid a massive pot hole on a dirt road you back onto. They put up orange barrels rather that fix the hole.
I went there few weeks ago, hadn't been there in year before that. I didn't think the place could get worse...I was wrong.dairyman Thanks this. -
yeah, you can't hit that hill to fast to get up at a decent speed loaded. i ran 27 alot up to lexington with a flat also. is the truckstop north of somerset on the left still open?used to stop in there pretty regular.

Oran's truck stop, yeah it is, kwswan. they have just about got US27 4 laned all the way to stanford,
. did they ever send you over to Mt.Sterling from Bluegrass in Lexington?
