Obviously there are options available but How much would a replacement tarp cost for a 43x 102?

I was in Tulsa today, diesel was $2.69. Too bad I wasn't in my truck! Back in our area of southern Ks, it is in that $2.89 area.

That's just a tarp by itself, not sure how much more installation would be. We've replaced our own before, not difficult, but it takes at least 2 able bodies to hoist it up on to the trailer. A loader with an aluminum extension ladder laying in the bucket to support the tarp works even better for lifting it up there.Last edited: Jan 13, 2010

Looking arounnd at trailers so I figure lets look at worst case scenario.....Say it needs a new tarp and tires......... Just running some numbers in case I need the loan for a little more than the price of the trailer itself.
Saw an 89 Timpte on T-paper..... Old yes but what is there other than traps , tires, brakes and tarps that could be worn on it. Figure buy a less exspensive one to start. Run it 2-3 years sell it and put a down payment on a new/er one if need be. Kinda like my truck. better to have the money in the bank than have new big payments.wheathauler and dairyman Thank this. -

wow you learn something new everyday, thats pretty intresting. Since you fella's have a pretty open discussion going on in here, as owner operators, do you prefer an older truck with a mechanical engine or a newer truck?
