I walked my tarp after shaking it down, really helps walking it to knock the product down into the trailer. My shin is still all scuffed and bruised from where I bonked it climbing up there.I was 77K, I really thought it would be more this time as I had her piled way high.
Monday, I get to visit the tag office. WhooHoo $1700-$1800 here in Ks if I remember correctly. What do you guys in other states pay?

Had ice storm last night. Sounded like rain storm but was freezing to everything. Still have power which is good. Tarp will be a bear to open maybe it will warm up a little before I have to use it.

I like Timpte and have had one for six years. They last very well. Far as lift axles go never used one so can't help you.

A 42x96x78 seemed to be good for everything but cotton seeds - and I couldn't stand hauling those anyway - like trying to jam cotton balls through a funnel.slabrunner Thanks this. -
up here we still have some old elev. that are only 12ft 3in clearance,so 84jn sides with 24.5 tires and bows for tarp iffy for cleance!
HwyPilot Thanks this. -
Truckers around here who haul mids and meal tend to go with wider trailers or longer trailers. 42 X102x78 or 80 seems to be popular...some go with spread axles. Agree with mcowboy 84 inch sides would be too high for some small elevators around here.

I'm glad I don't haul anything that needs a big trailer, I like our little ones. I have hauled bean meal, and got a full load, but it's piled up pretty good. We like our Wilsons just fine, never had any problems. I don't know about lift axles and doubles, never been around exotic stuff like that.
We had a little snow early Sunday, then changed to rain most of the day, then changed back to snow last night. Ended up with about 3 inches of crusty wet snow. I think the roads are going to be ok pretty soon, just waiting a little bit to let elevator get their scales and parking lots cleared off.HwyPilot and montana cowboy Thank this. -
Received a quote to haul rock for the princely sum of $1.05 a mile. I declined...bad enough hauling grain that cheap. Some truckers will haul rock in hopper....I would if it wasn't my trailer.
montana cowboy Thanks this.
