Big John is leased out to Oakley, he pulls a dump for them. Pull dump or hopper for them. Don't know whether they're in Texas or not. I would presume they are. Bruceoakley.com

How's the bachelor life going, wheathauler?
-
Kinda quiet. I may have to do laundry tomorrow which I really hate. It's in the 30's here today and it's probably in 80's where she is. Think she's got the better deal.

anyone ever hear of HTC Express or Sanders for hopper loads?

I've heard of HTC Express, don't know if they are any good or not.

Hey guys check this out. Dont know how good they are but there a texas based company and i see there trucks in wichita ks alot. http://titanco.com/bulkd.html. They got some decent numbers. Hope this helps. They claim 1.84 per mile and gross averages $3906 per week. crop jockey
wheathauler, RW. and dairyman Thank this. -
I'd like to know how they get 1.84 out of southwest kansas. What I've seen most loads pay way lower than that. It's a good post crop jockey it could help someone.

For 17% of the revenue, they'd better be averaging $1.84/mi. and not a penny less. Those guys are PROUD of themselves. Pull their trailer for another 10% and you're netting a cool 73% of your gross.
Lets run some quick numbers to put it in a different light...
83% of $1.84/mi. and $3906/week = $1.53/mi. or $3241/week
In other words...they're making 31 cents per mile or $664 per week...not bad money.
Another 10% for the trailer amounts to 18.4 cpm or $390 per week
$390 per week times 4 weeks a month is $1,560 per month.
A brand new Timpte Super Cube (43'x78"x102") is $38,000. You can borrow (theoretically - I know 100% financing is impossible) $38,000 over five years at 8% interest for a total payment of $770.50 per month. Tags and insurance usually come up to no more than another $200 per month - usually less. Total trailer cost is $970 per month...leaving $590 left over.
If you're going to hook on with these guys - which isn't the absolute worst idea *IF* their numbers are legit, definitely own your trailer. Their trailer lease is salt in the wound of a 17% dispatch fee, IMHO.
