We've got bridges closed and roads under water here too. Its not pretty. No rain yet today, but there is a good system over IA right now.
We all need a break from the down pours.

I got back from looking at some fields and talking to guys at elevator. Apparently had over 1" last night, my digital rain guage died. Fields are really wet and the elevators were dead, imagine that. Guy at Cargill said they took in a few loads Saturday before the heavy rains hit.
We're both thinking it is going to be one long harvest. Last year was done in little over a week but had ideal conditions.
This water will breed mosquitos like crazy. Nothing like being in a field and the mosquitos are trying to suck you dry because they are so thick.Big John Thanks this. -
Big John, Chad Olsen has petes and internationals new timptes and wilsons, I work for a harvester and we "team up" with olsens in pierre south dakota to do a large farm, impressive outfit,
Big John Thanks this. -
Cluk are you guy's leaving town or sticking around? I drove by the fairgrounds and seen one outfit from South Dakota loading up. Yeah Olsen has a sharp outfit, I was watching some of their video's on youtube along with Fredrick Harvesting from Kansas, what impressive outfits. Makes me want to go back harvesting. lol

-

You mean it's not raining there dairyman? I think it's going to be clear for a while here, according to the weatherman.

Not TODAY wheathauler, but we have a mean line heading our way right now,but we have been getting about .2 or .3 tenths every day. Sounds like ya'll are having as wet of June as we did in May.

Thanks Big John, I never even thought of looking up harvesting on youtube. The bad thing about being rained out this early is you know once it dries, you're going to have to run your tails off to get caught up. And you really have to be careful where you load the trucks at.
I miss it a little, but only for a little bit...Big John Thanks this.
