Should be able to fire that thing back up. I saw some info about it while I was looking into what it takes to start a new one.

I ran my old dot number and it brought all info up. It was last updated on 7/23/10 but it says in red outdated. So i wonder if my kcc athourity is as easy to get reinstated? I will probly call them monday see what they say. The bad thing is i will be starting back up in the slow season way wait till spring. It looks like im going to have to run my tail off im going to have to average at least 1.30 a mile i nead to gross around 3,000 a week. Am i being realistic with current rates and such? I think im going to have to run regional dont think local will cut it all though that would be ideal. The old truck me and my brother ended up buying is a 1982 pete 359 425 cat 13spd 355 gears extended hood 60in flat top. Its got a fresh rebuild with papers, neads clutch and tranny, its a little rough but were rebuilding it got it really cheap. Gonna take a few months but will be paid for so all we have to do is get us a trailer, hes a big farmer outwest hes my banker lol.

Wheat,Wheat, Wheat. I'm kinda getting sick of hauling wheat. I've been hauling wheat to the same elevator in Hutch for about month and a half now.
Speaking of wheat any of you get to Hutch ,go to 17th and Halstead, and look at the huge pile of wheat ADM has on the ground. They have it covered with white plastic and they're still adding wheat to the piles. -
Looks like I may finally be pulling out next week again, with any luck. The power loss issue with my truck was most likely a bad EGR valve and probably a leaking EGR cooler (I'll find that out tomorrow).
Gosh, and it's only a $3,800 repair bill!! WHAT A BARGAIN. Anyone wanna buy a nice truck?I'm about sick of the pricing on this junk anymore, if I find some money in this new gig - I'm trading out to a pre-EGR truck when I can.
Decided to ask a few questions. The original EGR valve failed at 18 months under the factory warranty, and they changed most of the system design in 2007, but mine can't be refit (being the '02 design). They have to remove the EGR cooler to pres test it, and I get a whopping 1yr/100k mi warranty on whatever they do at Cummins. They also said if it wasn't the EGR cooler, it could be an injector seal - which they'd have to pull the head. I was decent to the guy, but I also told him I didn't appreciate them building their motors into a disposable item. I won't be buying a Cummins ISX powered anything in the future.
They did work with the bill some, and they're going to throw in an overhead, and flash the ECM up to 550HP - so hopefully I'll get something out of all this in return.
And just for the smarty pants out there - it's a Cummins motor - I don't wanna hear the V word about it. -
What new gig are you going to try? Maybe you said but I can't remember. I'm getting old and senile what do you expect.
HwyPilot Thanks this.
